Teresa is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), a board certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP-BC). She received her Master of Science (MS) degree from Wright State University in 2015. She also received her Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) certificate from the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) in April 2015. Prior to receiving her graduate degree, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2012 from Ohio University and Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) in 2007 from Sinclair Community College. She has been working as an ACNP intensivist in the intensive care unit (ICU) since 2015.
As an AGACNP she combines extensive medical and nursing knowledge, sound clinical judgement, and competent technical and procedural skills with strong interpersonal communication skills. She has spent over 10 years as a nurse caring for critically ill patients. She has extensive experience caring for patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic illnesses including pulmonary diseases such as pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, sleep apnea, cardiovascular diseases including arrhythmias, heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, cardiothoracic surgery such as coronary artery bypass grafts, valve repair or replacement, thoracotomy, and vascular surgeries among many other disease processes.
She strives to create a holistic, compassionate partnership with each and every patient and creating an individualized, patient-centered health care relationship.
